Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-07
This Privacy Policy explains how Zerne (“Zerne”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information you provide through zernegroup.com. It applies to the Zerne Group corporate site, including the Zerne Travels blog and the Visa Readiness Scorecard. Each Zerne subsidiary (Zerne Capital, Zerne Technologies, Zerne Properties) operates its own website under its own privacy policy — this policy does not extend to those services.
What we collect
- Contact-form submissions.Name, email, organisation, and the message you send via the /contact form. The form includes an “interest” field (e.g. Investor Relations, Careers) so we can route your message.
- Scorecard submissions. The Visa Readiness Scorecard asks for your name, WhatsApp number, and your self-rated answers to 20 readiness questions. The answers produce a score and a readiness tier.
- WhatsApp correspondence. If you message us on WhatsApp (e.g. from a blog CTA or the Scorecard follow-up), the content of that conversation is held by WhatsApp and by us for follow-up.
- Analytics data. If Google Analytics is enabled, we collect aggregated, pseudonymous usage data (pages viewed, device type, rough location). We do not use this to identify individuals.
- Technical data. IP address, browser, and request headers are processed by our hosting and security infrastructure to keep the site online and protected.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and route it to the right team or subsidiary.
- To follow up with you on WhatsApp about your Scorecard results and your weakest areas — only if you submitted the Scorecard and shared your number.
- To improve the site, the blog, and the Scorecard over time.
- To detect abuse, fraud, and attacks on our infrastructure.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not email you unless you have explicitly contacted us by email. Scorecard follow-up is on WhatsApp only, not email.
- We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or share it with advertising networks.
How long we keep it
Contact-form and Scorecard submissions are retained for as long as is reasonable to respond to you and to keep a record of that response, and then deleted or archived. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so where we are not legally required to keep it.
Who has access
Access is restricted to Zerne staff who need it to respond to you or to operate the site. We use third-party processors (hosting, analytics, form-delivery, rate-limiting) that process data on our behalf under contract. Each processor is bound to use the data only to provide the service we have asked for.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies and, where Google Analytics is enabled, analytics cookies. You can control or block cookies in your browser. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@zernegroup.com.
Children
The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
